The Garden Gala is a fundraising event for Northland Public Library featuring food and beverage tastings, entertainment and auctions. Almost two dozen wine, spirits, beer/craft brews, and food will be available for the walk-around tastings on both floors.
The Gala benefits The Learning Garden at Northland, a sensory garden and outdoor educational space for all ages. It increases opportunities for STEM programs and features unique sensory aspects. Sensory gardens are important for those dealing with sensory sensitivity or deprivation issues, including those who are autistic, coping with mental disabilities, or recovering from brain injuries and strokes. Our landscaped sensory nooks have been created to assist children dealing with autism, bullying and other issues feel more comfortable during library programs.
