DETAILS:     Throughout 2020, Acumen is proud to be partnering with the Culinary Institute of America (CIA) to host four seasonally inspired, wine-themed cooking classes in the famed Hestan Kitchens of CIA at Copia in Napa. Led by the CIA’s renowned chef instructors, these intimate hands-on cooking classes are an amazing way to hone your culinary skills while learning the finer points of wine and food pairing. Each class is followed by a friendly, family-style meal featuring your delicious culinary creations and a selection of Acumen’s finest wines.

 

Upon arrival, your unforgettable food-and-wine experience will begin with a celebratory taste of Acumen’s acclaimed PEAK Sauvignon Blanc. You will then be guided through a seasonally themed cooking class, where you will create a delectable four-item, wine-paired menu emphasizing some of the Napa Valley’s finest local fare. Your experience will conclude as you join the chef, your Acumen host, and your fellow cooks for a convivial family-style buffet featuring your delectable creations and a selection of the finest current-release Acumen wines.

 

Founded in 2012, with the goal of making the finest estate-grown wines on Atlas Peak, Acumen farms two coveted mountain vineyards—Edcora and Attelas—totaling 116 planted acres. Using grapes from these organically and sustainably certified estate vineyards, Acumen crafts a small portfolio of acclaimed mountain-grown wines, with a focus on Atlas Peak Cabernet Sauvignon and Sauvignon Blanc.
