Join us for a wonderful series of family-style dinners at Beacon Tavern, hosted by winemakers from around the world!
We'll be pouring beautiful representations of our hosts' wines, paired four courses of exceptional cuisine, plus questions and conversation in an intimate setting with the experts themselves.
March 12th in honor of Third Coast Soif with Cream Wine Company, we're excited to welcome Shaunt Oungoulian of Populis and Les Lunes Wine, wunderkind winemaker of the non-interventionist "Natural Wine" movement, tasting an array of Californian creativity through his expressive and modern creations.

ABOUT THE WINEMAKER:
Shaunt and Diego Roig started Populis to bring delicious, honest wines--natural wines with soul--to the people at an affordable price. The wines are dangerously easy to drink; try popping just one bottle!
Shaunt and Diego farm several old-vine vineyards in Northern California. The grapes they farm go directly into Populis. The farming is top notch with no herbicides or pesticides. In the winery, additives are not used. Depending on vintage, a small addition of sulfites may be added at bottling.
The collective was born when Shaunt and Diego returned to California from apprenticeships abroad and realized that there was/is a huge void to fill when it comes to finding USA wines made naturally from organically grown grapes. California is known for its healthy and progressive food and farming scene—it’s about time that the wines followed suit!

Tickets for the dinner are $75, not including tax and gratuity.

Retail sales of our special wines will also be made available to guests thanks to our friends at BottlesUp - please inquire at the dinner if interested.

The Menu:
1. Mixed chilled seafood: kumamoto oysters, yellowtail crudo, terrine of octopus, smoked salmon
2. Vadouvan-spiced steak tartare, served with a salad of hearts of palm, roasted cauliflower, and green lentils
3. Grilled monkfish, roasted wild mushrooms, crispy pancetta, green garlic salsa verde, served with fresh gougeres and potato purée
4. Meyer lemon tart with vanilla meringue
