Young Inglewood is an organic vineyard with history, hand-crafting limited production wines of balance and elegance.
A family winery in the truest sense; the Young family (parents Jacky & Jim, siblings Mary & Scott) pursued their lifelong dream by starting Young Inglewood twelve years ago. They took over the care of an existing vineyard planted on a 140 year old site on the St. Helena bench in Napa Valley - renowned for world class Cabernet Sauvignon and other red Bordeaux varietals. Their idea was to create a new life for this classic piece of terroir, which had previously been overlooked for single vineyard potential. According to the philosophy Jacky developed over three decades of studying wine, they wanted to create old school Napa - inspired wines (thinking ‘70s / ‘80s). They eventually built a small winery on the property and are now producing about 1,000 cases in total. An organic, sustainable approach to farming has been essential, along with minimal intervention while seeking balance in the cellar.
