Arguably the world’s most versatile and food-friendly wines are the ones that Italy crafts from Sangiovese and that Spain makes from Tempranillo.  Wonderful year-round with everything from fish to red meats, and perfect with everything in between (especially duck, pork, veal), these are the middleweight greats that put food lovers and wine lovers on the same page.  This class features a blind tasting of a dozen examples presented toe-to-toe, with the objective of discerning the distinctive virtues and charms of these two great varieties at differing stages of maturity.
