The delightful Alpacas will be visiting the winery again on Saturday, February 29, 2020 from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM. Please check the Peach Creek Vineyards Facebook page that morning for any last minute changes due to weather. Along with the Alpacas, there will also be actual products for sale made from Alpaca fiber! Our friends from the award-winning Bluebonnet Hills Alpaca Ranch will be on-hand to answer questions about what it means to be an Alpaca rancher, how Alpaca fiber is used, and why they chose to become Alpaca owners.

So plan to make some special memories spending time that day with family or friends enjoying the beautiful Texas countryside, drinking award-winning Texas wines, and visiting with these adorable animals; remember to bring along your camera! Live music will also be provided during a portion of the event.

There have been some online articles published recently about these events (without our knowledge or input). While much written in the articles was correct, unfortunately there was also some misleading information. Most notably, the Alpacas cannot be freely roaming in the vineyard during events; that would be dangerous and actually very scary for them. Some of the portable pens they use at their competitions and shows will be set up onsite. This allows the Alpacas to have a place where they feel safe and can periodically relax and de-stress. Please understand that having a familiar ‘safe place’ is very comforting to them. In consideration of the Alpacas, other pets cannot be allowed at the winery that day.

Secondly, while we would LOVE to be able to offer full tasting packages to all of you, at these events it is just not possible.  Serving this number of people only allows us to offer a few pre-selected wines, but we welcome you to visit us on any non-event day for a regular tasting experience.  Additional wine will be available for purchase during the event, along with bags of chips & candy bars. If you have cash with you that day, you can pay for additional glasses and food items at the bar, allowing you to avoid waiting in the line at the cash register.  Please understand we are NOT saying that you cannot use a credit card, just offering suggestions to help you spend less time in line and more time having fun!  A food truck is scheduled to be onsite, additional details about that will be coming; no outside food or drink is allowed to be brought in during events.

Ticket sales will be limited to control crowd size and ensure an enjoyable afternoon. By the way, you are welcome to bring along a blanket and/or lawn chairs in case the available tables and chairs are all taken. Please note that this is a come-and-go event, you don’t have to arrive at 10:00 and you don’t have to stay until 2:00; the Alpacas will be here the entire time!  This is an outdoor event, be sure and dress according to the temperature. At this time, we are not aware of any reason that the event would need to be rescheduled.  But please check our Facebook page that morning for any last minute information or unforeseen changes due to weather.

There are several different ticket options available that allow you to prepay for wine choices in order to reduce time spent standing in line at the event! An explanation of the ticket options is included below, Each ticket option includes the $10 per person event fee, your wine selection, and sales tax. 

Children that are 20 and under accompanied by parents do not need tickets.

1. A ticket for ONE PERSON - Price of $17.50 includes Event Fee, ONE GLASS OF WINE or FROZEN WINE SLUSHIE, Sales Tax, and a Commemorative Event Wine Glass.

2. A ticket for TWO PEOPLE - Price of $35.00 includes Event Fees, TWO GLASSES OF WINE or FROZEN WINE SLUSHIES, Sales Tax, and Two Commemorative Event Wine Glasses.

3. A ticket for TWO PEOPLE AND A BOTTLE OF DRY RED WINE - Price of $40.00 includes Event Fees, a Bottle of Dry Red Wine, Sales Tax, and Two Commemorative Event Wine Glasses.

4. A ticket for TWO PEOPLE AND A BOTTLE OF SWEET RED WINE - Price of $38.00 includes Event Fees, a Bottle of Sweet Red Wine, Sales Tax, and Two Commemorative Event Wine Glasses.

5. A ticket for TWO PEOPLE AND A BOTTLE OF DRY WHITE WINE - Price of $38.00 includes Event Fees, a Bottle of Dry White Wine, Sales Tax, and Two Commemorative Event Wine Glasses.

6. A ticket for TWO PEOPLE AND A BOTTLE OF SWEET WHITE WINE - Price of $38.00 includes Event Fees, a Bottle of Sweet White Wine, Sales Tax, and Two Commemorative Event Wine Glasses.
