We're mixing it up a little, showing how Spanish wines complement French dishes. Old World wines are fascinating in that they are crafted to evoke a sense of place more than varietal characteristics. Spain and France share a border, and even though much has been made of the border shared with Germany, and it's influence on the cuisine of Alsace, many people aren't as aware of the Spanish connection. The food in this region is as lively as the people who live there, so we're looking forward to exploring it in this dinner. As always, the wines featured in the dinner will be offered for sale at deeply discounted prices that evening.
