Our founder and executive chef, Aschara, is from the south of Thailand (Chumpon, specifically). She is known in the Thai community for her mastery of the distinct dishes of her native home region. She will cook this special southern Thai dinner and serve it family style to participants in the private dining room, telling tales of each dish and of Thailand throughout.
Guests of the dinner will feast on a variety of dishes, enjoy lots of house wine and Singha beer, be served dessert, and will learn about each of the dishes from our executive chef.
This meal will be served family style at our communal table (don't worry about stranger danger -- these dinners are fun and social, we promise). Unfortunately none of these dishes -- as traditionally prepared -- are allergen free or vegan: among other ingredients in the dishes include shrimp paste, fish sauce, peanuts, egg, meat, etc. Some of these dishes are quite spicy, and some dishes contain gluten. Accordingly, unfortunately, this meal is not for those with dietary restrictions.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
I do not eat meat; will there be a vegetarian/vegan option?
Unfortunately, no. We will be serving the meal communal-style, and many of the dishes will be made with an animal-based protein.
May I order a cocktail or drink?
Certainly! We will provide two house wine options and Singha beer with the price of your ticket, but you may certainly order other drinks for an additional charge.
What does dining "family style" mean?
We will prepare several large dishes of food, from which guests can serve themselves. Guests typically meet new people and really enjoy the newfound community that this style of dining creates.
I'm coming with several other people and we want to sit together. How can we ensure that we do?
Seating is first-come, first served at the communal table, so it's advisable to show up early. That said, it's a friendly atmosphere, so folks will likely gladly adjust to let your party sit together.
