Need a break from Christmas shopping? Undecided about what to pour over the holidays? Then come on down on the 19th, 20th, 21st or 22nd for a tasting of some of our favorite "under the radar" wines to pair with your own Christmas dinner. We're serving an amazing 10-course tasting menu paired with four different wines plus our legendary housemade eggnog as a finale with dessert. (And, yes, we will give out our eggnog recipe on request!)

Cost is a mere sixty-seven fifty plus tax and gratuity for everything including a glass of bubbly, all three wines, a demitasse of eggnog and the entire 10-course "Flavors of Christmas" tasting menu. Hope you can join us! Here's the line-up. Wine notes and bottle prices are at the end of this announcement if you're interested.

NOTE: Due to the complexity of this menu we regret that we will be unable to accommodate any menu modification requests whatsoever.

COST
Cost for the complete dinner including all ten courses and all four wines and eggnog is $67.50 per person. Sales tax and an 18% gratuity will be added to the cost of all dinners. Due to limited seating, CREDIT CARD RESERVATIONS ARE AN ABSOLUTE MUST. We accept Visa and MasterCard only.

SPECIAL DIETARY NEEDS
Due to the complexity of this menu we regret that we will be unable to accommodate vegetarian requests. If you have any other special dietary needs, please let us know when you RSVP, not when you arrive. We will do our best to accommodate special dietary needs if we can and if given advance notice. Please be aware that last minute menu aberration requests without advance notice will be impossible for us to accommodate.

CANCELLATION POLICY
You may cancel your reservation up to 72 hours in advance without penalty. NO REFUNDS WILL BE ISSUED WITH LESS THAN 72-HOUR NOTICE unless we are able to replace your cancellation at the last minute. (See below for groups over 4 people.)

LARGE GROUPS (OVER 4)
If you want to come with a group of friends, please make one reservation for your entire party so we can reserve a block of seats for you ... however, in the interest of fairness to others, we reserve the right to limit the number of people on a single reservation at our discretion. The cancellation period for canceling the ENTIRE reservation without penalty is doubled from the standard 72 hours (see above) to 144 hours (6 days). If you need to cancel only 1 or 2 people, the standard 72-hour notice still applies.

LOCATION & PHONE
Wine Vault & Bistro is located in the heart of San Diego between Little Italy and Old Town at 3731-A India Street on the upstairs terrace. Follow the black handrail up the stairs from the sidewalk to our front door. Our phone number is (619) 295-3939.

PARKING
Valet parking is available for $8.00 on Saturday and Sunday. The drop-off point is two doors south of our entrance in front of Shakespeare Pub at the corner of India and Winder. On-street parking is also usually available within a 3-block radius. Remember that it’s OK to park in yellow commercial zones after 6:00 and that meters are also not enforced after 6:00. You can also park in the lot behind Shakespeare Pub two doors down, but do not park in El Indio's lot unless you want your car towed! If you can’t find parking next to the restaurant, there’s always LOTS OF PARKING on San Diego Avenue and the adjacent side streets just past the Chevron station across Washington Street. So please don't drive yourself crazy endlessly going around in circles waiting to pounce on that perfect spot when there's TONS OF PARKING less than three blocks away!

WINE NOTES & BOTTLE PRICES
NV Mas Fi Brut Cava ~ $10
(Spain) Winemaker's notes: 40% Xarel-lo, 35% Macabeo + 25% Parellada. An elegant and balanced sparkling wine. Undergoing second fermentation in the bottle, it is aged for 10 months providing its fine bubbles and complex and structured palate. There are notes of white flowers and citrus on the nose, with fresh stone fruits and pleasant creamy flavors in the mouth.

2016 J Vineyards Pinot Noir ~ $17
(California) Winemaker's Notes: Aromatic notes of exotic spice, cherry preserves and black tea. The palate is plush, jammy and ripe with flavors of spicy black pepper, cola and plum. Enjoy this wine with roasted leg of lamb with a balsamic-fig reduction or cranberry-glazed roast turkey breast with creamy mushroom risotto.

2017 Tres Picos Garnacha ~ $17
(Spain) Winemaker's Notes: Very intense cherry red colour with tones of purple. Presents in the nose a great concentration of aromas of ripe red fruit with floral nuances. In the mouth, it is a well structured rich wine that evokes tastes of blackberry, plum and tones of leather and vanilla, with a soft and silky tannin.

2013 Stolpman "Originals" Syrah ~ $24
(Ballard Canyon) Winemaker's Notes: The dark core dives into lushness but is brought back with a chalky savory finish. These old vines tell the story of a life spent rooting deep into solid Limestone through up-front, aggressive minerality. Perhaps the most savory Syrah we have ever made, this wine should be consumed over a long evening, allowing time to discover new complexities with every sip. A meditative process hopefully yielding revelation.

WV&B's Legendary Eggnog
A decadent combination of super fresh local eggs, dark rum, Cognac, vanilla, cream and spices. (Recipe on request.)
