A tasting like no other, we will enjoy only the truest of true: Champagne. Wine & Spirits Director Nate Norfolk will be presenting eight different Champagnes from France, ranging in styles from classic Brut, Blanc de Blanc, Rosé and beyond. All Champagne is sparkling wine, but only the sparkling wine made in the Champagne region of France can be called Champagne. Per "The Oxford Companion to Wine," less than one-twelfth of the sparkling wine produced around the world is actual Champagne, so to say it's a treat is quite the understatement! Our guests will learn the difference between the large famous négociant brands versus the small-grower producers, some of whom produce less than one thousand cases of wine each year. This evening will make a bubbly lover out of anyone, and to us, there's nothing more fun than that! *Please note the Champagnes featured in this December class will be different selections than the November class.*
