Cost: 4-Course Beaujolais Nouveau Menu: $29.50 ~ 2019 Dupeuble Beaujolais Nouveau: $7 glass / $23 bottle

Please join us this Thursday anytime from 5:30 on for our fourteenth annual Beaujolais Nouveau Party. (The regular bistro menu and wine flights will NOT be available this Thursday only.) In case you're unfamiliar with Beaujolais Nouveau, it is made from the Gamay grape and is meant to be drunk within six months of bottling. It is officially released on the third Thursday of November - literally only weeks after it was still growing on the vine. There is lots of technical info about how the grapes can be picked, fermented and bottled that quickly that we'll not take the space in this announcement to elaborate on, but if you're interested, you can visit: http://www.intowine.com/beaujolais2.html.

Anyway, Beaujolais Nouveau is not a serious wine - it's just a fun, quaffable, food-friendly, party wine that's supposed to be a barometer of the quality of the current, yet-to-be-released-for-several-more-years vintage. Over the years, its official release has created a worldwide excuse to throw a party on the third Thursday of November. A typical Beaujolais Nouveau party will include a wide variety of traditional French bistro fare served, of course, with plenty of Beaujolais Nouveau. Naturally we felt obligated to do our part in perpetuating this tradition here at the WV&B so we've put together a delicious, French-inspired 4-course menu just for the occasion. We will also have a selection of other wines available by the glass.

If you want to come with a group of friends please make sure to have one person RSVP for your entire group so we can seat you at your own table. If space gets tight, couples and singles may be seated "cruise ship dining style" at communal tables of eight to twelve. This will definitely be a let-your-hair-down party atmosphere, so come prepared to party, meet some new friends, and have a great time! Here's the line-up:

LOCATION & PHONE
Wine Vault & Bistro is located in the heart of San Diego between Little Italy and Old Town at 3731-A India Street on the upstairs terrace. Follow the black handrail up the stairs from the sidewalk to our front door. Our phone number is (619) 295-3939.

PARKING ~ FREE & PAID
Valet parking is available for $8.00. The drop-off point is two doors south of our entrance in front of Shakespeare Pub at the corner of India and Winder. On-street parking is also usually available within a 3-block radius. Remember that it’s OK to park in yellow commercial zones after 6:00 and that meters are also free after 6:00. You can also park in the lot behind Shakespeare Pub two doors down, but do not park in El Indio's lot unless you want your car towed! If you can’t find parking next to the restaurant, there’s always LOTS OF PARKING on San Diego Avenue and the adjacent side streets just past the Chevron station across Washington Street. So please don't drive yourself crazy endlessly going around in circles waiting to pounce on that perfect spot when there's TONS OF PARKING less than three blocks away!
