Wines Of Italy At Florida Wine Academy
Wed, December 18, 2019 (6:30 PM - 8:30 PM)
Cost: $75.00
Winemaking in Italy dates back thousands of years, and to this day remains one of the top wine imports to the United States. The country’s unique geography and resulting climates paired together with its many native varietals come together to bring fascinating wines that span so much more than Pinot Grigio, Chianti and Prosecco. While these wines are incredibly important for the Italian market there are many other grapes, regions and styles worthy of exploring. Students will learn about Italian wine laws and labels, important regions and their principal grapes, and how the country’s geography and climate impact style.
During this class we will taste the following wines:
– Ca del Bosco Franciacorta
– Luigi Maffini Kratos Cilento Fiano
– Caparzo Brunello di Montalcino
– Ornellaia Le Volte 2016
– Secondo Marco Valpolicella Ripasso 2013
This class is perfect for beginner and intermediate students. The educator for this class is Nicole Ramos, WSET Level 3 certified.
Date: December 18th, 2019 from 6.30-8.30pm
