So much to say about Flora Bar and chef-owner Ignacio Mattos! Mattos was born in Uruguay and mentored by Alice Waters and other chef luminaries. He owns two other highly-regarded New York restaurants, estela and Café Altro Paradiso. His first cookbook, Estela, was ranked one of 2018's best by The New York Times Book Review. Flora Bar regularly appears on the “best” lists of major food publications. And in the ultimate pairing of food as art, Flora Bar is situated on the lower level of the Met Breuer museum, a landmarked building in the Brutalist style.
The event fee ($134 members, $149 guests) includes a four-course dinner, tax, tip, and administrative fee; alcohol, coffee, and other beverages are extra.
