Thinking about drinking some Pinot for Thanksgiving this year? And I’m not just talking about Pinot Noir! Join us for a “Pinot Family Reunion” this Saturday! Pinot Gris, Pinot Blanc, and Pinot Noir will all be open to try before you buy.

In case you forgot, we’re dedicating every Saturday in November to wines perfect for Thanksgiving. With just two Saturdays left before Turkey Day, we’re breaking out some top shelf stuff for this tasting!

Asheville’s Best Thanksgiving Wine Tasting – Just stop by – we’ve got plenty of free parking.

All of the featured tasting wines are being offered at 20% off by the bottle on tasting day!

The Pinot family of wines is a safe bet for pairing with the traditional Thanksgiving feast. Whether it be Pinot Blanc, Pinot Gris, or Pinot Noir, you can’t go wrong. Pinot Blanc, with its dry, peachy, and refreshing personality plays nicely against the mellow flavors of turkey. And Pinot Gris/Pinot Grigio, with its white peach and lemony acidity is perfect for ham and turkey. And finally, Pinot Noir, with its light to medium body, red fruit and spice notes, and mellow tannic structure, is a no-brainer red for Thanksgiving. You seriously can’t lose here folks! Stop by, taste, learn, and save big every Saturday at Table Wine.

1. 2018 Paul Blanck Pinot Blanc (Alsace, France) – Paul Blanck makes one of Alsace’s great white wine values and you can taste it. From organically tended vineyards grown in gravelly, limestone-rich soils, this is bright and beautiful. With lovely notes of pear, melon, flowers and mineral, this medium bodied white is versatile and crowd pleasing.

2. 2018 Wilhelm Walch ‘Prendo’ Pinot Grigio (Alto Adige, Italy) – Pinot Grigio is a pinkish-grey mutation of Pinot Noir, and it reaches its pinnacle of quality in Northeastern Italy. That’s exactly where this one comes from, and it’s a stellar value. Boasting beautiful aromatics and concentration, this one flows with ripe peach, apple, and floral notes.

3. 2018 Reeve Rose of Pinot Noir (Sonoma County, California) – My buddy from college Noah Dorrance and his wife Kelly own a beautiful winery just outside of Healdsburg. I’ve been impressed with everything I’ve tasted from them, but their dry rose is extra special. Showing nice body and texture along with intense notes of blood orange, tart cherry and strawberry, this is the rose you should be drinking this Thanksgiving.

4. 2018 The Pinot Project Pinot Noir (Various Regions, California) –The Pinot Project began in 2009 with a vision: a wine for the palate, the pocket, and the people. Mission accomplished! Crafted from high quality Sonoma County, Monterey, and Central Coast vineyards, this red fruited, supple, and budget-friendly red will make a lot of folks happy.

5. Surprise Wine – We’ll end with a Pinot Noir that should make you very happy. It will be a “top shelf” selection and we will only open one bottle. Come early or forever hold your peace.
