Educational     Networking     Tasting (sit down)     Wine

Uncorked Vintage Academia brings you an unique inside look at the  world's Madonna variety: Pinot!  - at the one and only The Austin Winery!

Pinot is a grape that has a documented winemaking history since the reign of Philip III (think the Ninth Crusades in 1280's), and it is also a cultivar that mutates easily, so we're using its palette to discover similarities and differences between Pinot Blanc, Pinot Gris, Pinot Noir and the more obscure teinturier Pinot Fin
- in several styles and winemaking production methods, including vin de goutte (free-run wine/ blanc de blanc [ still and sparkling]); vin de presse (wine from press/ rose'); and maceration wines (amber/red).
We'll also have Grand Cru vineyards, boutique sustainable and biodynamic producers, and an older library specimen from the 60's - to see how groovy it still is!

We'll explore at minimum 20 wines from 7 countries and 15 distinct regions!
