The once almost-unknown profession of Sommelier has now been glamorized and romanticized to a fare-thee-well. Though anyone with a serviette and a wine key who recommends wine in a restaurant can be called a sommelier, some have chosen to undergo rigorous studies to achieve a credential such as Certified, Advanced and Master Sommelier. Some of the most accomplished and curious also choose to expand their expertise to winemaking! Master Sommeliers Larry Stone, Greg Harrington, Richard Betts, Emmanuel Kamiji and Bobby Stuckey have projects in California, Oregon, Washington State, Italy and Australia. Rajat Parr, author of two books, also has properties in California and Oregon. Come taste applied knowledge and philosophy!
