The Black Powder Tavern will be continuing its wildly popular Historical Dinner Series on Tuesday, November 19, 2019. This time the focus will be on the Battle of Whitemarsh.

The featured speaker, Bob Bradley, will give an overview of the events following the Battle of Germantown to the march into the winter camp at Valley Forge. Guests will find out what happened during the next chapter of the Philadelphia Campaign with the army’s encampment in the hills of the Whitemarsh area, and Sir William Howe’s attack on the Continental position in early December.

During the event, Yards Brewing Company’s Thomas Jefferson Golden Ale and George Washington Porter will be served.

Light appetizers will be served at 5:30 p.m. Dinner orders will begin at 6:00 p.m., and dinner will be served around 6:30 p.m. Menu coming soon.

A Q&A session will follow with complimentary coffee and mini desserts.

More about Bob Bradley

Bob is a tour guide and volunteer with Historic Hope Lodge in Fort Washington. He is also a former board member with the Friends of Hope Lodge and the Historical Society of Fort Washington. He is a fellow member of the American Revolution Round Table of Philadelphia and continues to enjoy learning everything he can about the Revolutionary era.
