Educational     Tasting (sit down)     Wine

How did Bordeaux become the worldwide benchmark for great wine? What is a "classified growth?" What are the Left and Right Banks? What is a Bordeaux blend?

De-mystify Bordeaux! Sunday December 1st and 8th, Sommelier Arnie Millan presents a series of 2 classes exploring Bordeaux its history, geography and, of course, its wines. We will taste at least 6-8 quality wines per class, including classified growths.

On the 1st, we will explore the famous wines of the Left Bank, including the famous appellations of Pauillac (think Lafite, Mouton, Latour), St. Éstèphe, St. Julien, Margaux, the Médoc and Graves.

On the 8th, we will explore the great wines of Sauternes and the Right Bank (Pomerol, Saint-Emilion, etc.).

The Seattle Times recently named Arnie "The finest Wine Mind in Seattle."

This classes will be held at Esquin Wine & Spirits, 2700 4th Avenue S., Seattle, WA 98134
