Tasting (walk around)     Spirits     Educational

Anyone who has attended one of Lance’s Italian wine tastings has likely sampled some of the great imports from Oliver McCrum Wines, but Oliver McCrum also has a very impressive collection of spirits from across Italy. While amaro may be the spirit most closely associated with Italy, there are also some great gins, vermouths, liqueurs, and much more. Italian spirits are almost as varied as the wines and Oliver McCrum’s criteria are the same for spirits as they are for wine: they look for typical, distinctive products, mostly from smaller producers. Spirits can have regional typicity too!

We are thrilled to welcome Oliver McCrum Wines & Spirits, along with a cadre of their producers who will be on hand to meet and talk about their unique libations. This is a rare opportunity to meet all of these producers, and we are delighted that they chose The Wine House to host this event. Don’t miss this special, one-of-a-kind tasting!

Participating producers:
Giulia Calvetti from Distillerie Alpe, Val d’Aosta (Genepy & Amaro)
Federico Cremasco from Fred Jerbis, Friuli (Vermouth, Bitter, Gin, Amaro)
Elisa Carta from Liquore delle Sirene, Lake Garda (Bitter)
Enrico Bernard from Bernard, Piedmontese Alps (Alpine Herbal Liqueurs)
Roberta Pirronello from Il Mallo Nocino, Emilia Romagna (Nocino Walnut Liqueur)
Paolo Melis from Bresca Dorada, Sardinia (Mirto, Mirto Verde, Amaro, Citrus Liqueurs)
Edoardo Strano from Rossa Amara, Sicily (Blood Orange Amaro)
Andrea Giudice and Federico Tanasi from Nepèta Amaro, Sicily (Sicilian Lemon & Nepitella-based Amaro)

Cheese, charcuterie and light snacks will be served.
