Popular gastropub Meddlesome Moth celebrates Oktoberfest with Deutschen Fest, September 23 - 30 featuringa German Tap Takeover showcasing 30 different brews curated by beer director Matt Quenette.
“Most Americans only think of German beers in terms of lagers and Oktoberfest beers when there are many more styles and depths including eisbocks, multiple wheat styles, bocks, pilsners, Kölsch, dark lagers and more,” says Quenette. “We are taking the week to showcase the more expressive German beers being produced - not German styles with an American twist and not just Oktoberfest beers.”
Traditional Oktoberfest offerings from the kitchen include housemade Bratwurst served on a bed of sauerkraut with German potato salad & crème fraiche, Pork Schnitzel with stone ground mustard and creamed spinachand a Pretzel Samoa with rich caramel and coconut flakes served with dark chocolate fondue.
Named ”Best Beer Place in the World for 2012” by renowned beer expert Stephen Beaumont, the Moth offers 40 craft beers on tap and more than 80 bottled varieties, hand-selected wine list and classic signature cocktails.
