The role of the wine importer is to find the best producers and make their wines available to you.

From struggling rock musician in the late 60's to rock star wine importer of today, Kermit Lynch's portfolio of wines exemplify the meaning of "terroir".

Importers are a vital piece of the wine puzzle of how wines get from small villages in the Alps to a small wine shop at 1220 Whitney Ave in Hamden amongst many other places across the globe.  Kermit Lynch has built a legacy out of doing such a thing while establishing amazing relationships with vineyards and wineries throughout Europe.  During this class we will explore a selection of wines from both his Italian and French potfolio's.  One key insider tip on how to pick out a great wine is to look on the back label for the importer.  By the end of this class if you too enjoy the line up of wines we've chosen for the class we encourage you to explore more wines from Kermit's portfolios.  This goes for many other importers out there.  If you like a wine see where it comes from and who gets it here.  You may enjoy a lot more of what that importer has to offer.

$30 per person includes your class, light cheese, and crackers to accompany the tasting and $15 gift certificate to purchase wines after the class.

Must respond by August 22nd. If class sells out please call us at the store to be out on the call list.
