Meandering nearly 600 miles through northern France from west to east, the Loire is the longest river in France. This river valley is home to one of the world’s most diverse wine regions where every style of wine imaginable is made from crisp and toasty sparkling wines under the Cremant de Loire moniker, the elegant Sauvignon Blanc based wines of Sancerre, the spicy medium-bodied reds made from Cabernet Franc in Chinon and Saumur-Champigny, to a host of wines made from Chenin Blanc that range from bone-dry to rich and decadently sweet. This class will explore all of these and more!
