Our popular BYOB dinner for July is all about juicy, luscious, versatile stonefruit. I'm taking advantage of one of summer's best features and the fresh fruit available at the market now and have planned an entire meal around peaches, mangoes, cherries, apricots and plums. Won't you join us on Saturday, July 27th at 6 p.m.?

We'll start the evening with a cocktail called The Cheeky Peach. Peach schnapps, pineapple juice, cardamom-infused vodka and peach-flavored sparkling water make a refreshingly different summertime cocktail. Finished with a few dashes of Peychaud's bitters (made by a New Orleans apothecary owner and son of a Haitian immigrant, this formula is gentian-based with predominant anise, orange, cherry and mint notes), this is a very summery quaff. And it combines well with our appetizer, Prosciutto-Wrapped Mango, Basil and Arugula Tango. Expect fresh mango slices, basil leaves and arugula wrapped in salty prosciutto, finished with freshly ground black pepper--a sweet-salty combination that dances on your tongue.

Our main course is a thick slice of Roasted Pork Loin Stuffed with Apricots, Mustard Greens and Shallots, roasted to tender perfection. Served with a tasty pan sauce that's been kissed with apricot jam and sharing the plate with Caramelized Sweet Potatoes with Red Onions and Peaches, this is a beautiful and delicious meal. A Summer Cherry and Hazelnut Salad of spinach, arugula, dried sweet cherries, toasted hazelnuts and fresh mint is dressed with a refreshing Sour Cherry Vinaigrette, providing a vibrant visual and flavorful counterpoint to the plate.

Wine suggestions for this meal: choose an Alsatian Gewurztraminer, a Willamette Valley Pinot Noir, or a Piedmontese Dolcetta d'Alba. All have special characteristics that harmonize well with the flavors on the plate. Beer drinkers will want to choose a saison or a hard cider such as Hye Cider Hye Note.

For dessert, the fruit goes on. Enjoy a baked Summer Plum Pudding, served to you warm, tender, and rich with eggs and light cream, scented with anise and dusted with powdered sugar. We serve our desserts with a bottomless cup of Community Coffee, or your own personal pot of hot tea.We invite you to relax and enjoy the rest of the evening with your new friends, finish your wine, and choose an after-dinner drink from our astounding collection of house-made liqueurs and infusions.
