In 1962 Alexander Valley was mostly orchards and pasture when Harry and Maggie Wetzel purchased a portion of Cyrus Alexander’s homestead. In 1963 they began planting premium grape varieties. In 1975 Hank Wetzel built their winery & produced AVV’s first estate wines –quickly bringing recognition to the region. Their vineyards stretch from the banks of the Russian River to the hillsides. Fifty seven years later, the 3rd generation of their family is continuing the legacy of family farming and winemaking and Alexander Valley Vineyards is known for hand crafted, elegant age-worthy wines. This family creates wines of distinction for everyone! Taste all they have to offer at this special tasting with Rob Wetzel, second generation winemaker.
Super excited to welcome back Chef Didier and his special cheeses! Join the French chef as he tastes out his newest creations!
