You're invited to a great summer wine party with host Tim Gaber of the Pittsburgh Winery

"Drink local but source worldwide" is Tim's motto. He will be showing some new wines, made here in Pittsburgh with grapes sourced from California and South America. As always, wines will be paired with innovative small plates from chefs Pete Phillipy and Mike Henney, and you'll also be treated to live music in the courtyard (weather permitting) by Daryl Shawn

You will enjoy the following four wines with generous pours:

2017 Chardonnay - Suisun Valley California. Golden, toasty and sun ripened to perfection. California style Chardonnay with vanilla peach creamy lemon and stonefruit aromas. Aged in 100% new American oak just long enough to achieve the perfect balance between beautifully integrated oak tannin medium acid and classic varietal characteristics. Hypnotic floral soft sweet spice yields to gravitational finish. drink now.

2016 Cabernet Sauvignon - Suisun Valley California Premium California. Cabernet Sauvignon produced with wine grapes sourced from 2 separate vineyards combining elegance and depth. Intense aromas of ripe blueberry and plum layered with baking spices and dark chocolate. On the palate, it is extremely rich with concentrated dark fruit flavors and spice surrounded by soft tannins. Aged 18 months in American oak.

2014 Malbec - Curico Chile. Produced with Chilean Malbec grapes and bursting with flavors and aromas. Broad muscular earthy wine with smoldering cocoa cedar espresso and pepper notes Dense structure and medium plus acid that yields to wonderful fruit and length in the back Aged nearly 3 years in french oak This wine is lively and drinking well now yet will continue to integrate and refine with bottle age for the next 10+ years

2016 Petite Sirah Reserve - Suisun Valley Callifornia. Inky deep purple jam with aromas of fresh violets, raspberry, leather, sweet vanilla and nutmeg. Lush, brawny, rich and mouth coating with layers upon layers of complexity dancing on your tongue and lingering on your palate. This one goes to 11 (seconds on the finish that is) The evolution in the bottle has been remarkable thus far and we anticipate an even more luxurious and decadent wine to emerge as it softens with age.
