Super Tuscan wines have been stirring up excitement and curiosity ever since the phrase was created in the 1980s. These wines combine traditional grapes of Tuscany, like Sangiovese, with popular international varieties that include Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Syrah. The resulting blends are powerful, unique and delicious. Join us at this Masterclass to learn about the history behind the creation of Super Tuscans while tasting some of the most prominent and exclusive examples on the market today.

We will taste the following wines:

– Ornellaia

– Tenuta San Guido Sassicaia

– Antinori Solaia

– Antinori Tignanello

– Gaja Ca’Mercanda Magari

– Luce Della Vite Luce Toscana

– Masseto

We will close the evening by pouring a Masseto from an older vintage. Masseto, an extremely sought after and allocated wine, fetches prices that hover near four digits. Wine lovers will not want to miss this extraordinary opportunity. Alessandra Esteves, DipWSET, Director of Wine Education, will present the Masterclass.
