California & Vermont Whites
Saturday, July 6th
Trapp Family Lodge Wine Cellar
We’ll start by comparing two Chardonnays from California. Roughly 20% of all wine consumed in the United States is Chardonnay so nearly all wine drinkers are familiar with it. This makes the grape a good point of departure and a good baseline to reference other white varietals.
Next on deck is a dry white from Vermont, Seyval Blanc.
We then taste a Sauvignon Blanc from California. Sauvignon Blanc is the 9th most popular wine grape in the U.S.
We’ll finish with a semi-sweet Traminette from a winery in Vermont made from grapes grown in New York.
Price is $20. Please call or see the front desk to place reservations. 802 253-5742. Doors open @ 4:00. I suggest you arrive no later than 5:00 to avoid feeling rushed. People come and go during the tasting which is an informal walk around format. We end at 6:00
