When it comes to wine, New Zealand is on a roll.
When was the last time you had something other than a Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand? There's more to New Zealand than Sauvignon Blanc and Pinot Noir, with a little Chardonnay thrown in - time to find a new wine to try today...
But there is much more to Kiwi wine than this popular trio. Beyond Pinot Noir there is less diversity in the reds, with Syrah undoubtedly leading the way. But the Bordeaux grapes of Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Malbec also offer some interest, either as varietals or in a blend.
