This month's popular BYOB dinner is scheduled for Saturday, June 29th. Doors open at 6 p.m. for this limited-seating event. Won't you join us and bring your friends? We'd love to host you.

They say ginger is good for you. Well, we agree and here's what we're planning for the evening: When the bell rings, we'll already be down for the count with TKO Punchbowl (Tropical Knock-Out Punch). It's a heavy-hitting concoction of house-made ginger beer, some spritzy, refreshing Vinho Verde, a below-the belt punch of house-made pineapple-infused vodka, guava nectar, fresh lime juice and the final blow: mango and papaya chunks that have been macerated in rum. Folks, our TKO Punchbowl puts your Chunky Punch to shame.

At least you can enjoy your the trip to the mat with Singaporean Dumplings, precious little pockets of deliciousness that are filled with pork, red cabbage, fresh ginger, jalapeno, scallions and garlic--and dunk them in a gingery, garlicky chili oil and soy sauce-based dipping sauce. And feel free to stroll our beautiful gardens and get to know your fellow dinner guests.

At the table, expect a lovely Burmese Chicken Curry, made with chicken thighs seasoned with onion, garlic, plenty of fresh ginger, a touch of chili and ripe tomatoes, cooked until the meat is falling off the bone. Steamed jasmine rice and a cooling Salad of Orange Slices with Shaved Red Onion brings color and contrast to your plate.

Adult beverage suggestions: white wine drinkers will be happy with a Columbard, a Chenin Blanc, a Chardonnay (not too oaky) or a Viognier. An off-dry rosé, such as McPherson Les Copains would be a nice choice. If you prefer red wine, choose a light-to-medium-bodied red such as a chilled Beaujolais or even a red sparkler such as an Australian sparkling shiraz. Beer drinkers, you'll want to choose a pale ale or an IPA.

And for dessert, savor Kaffir Lime Custards with Lime-Scented Papaya and Candied Ginger. We grow the kaffir lime leaves on premises which infuse a dreamy, super-silky custard that firms up without gelatin, binders or eggs. Topped with cooling papaya with fresh lime zest and a shower of candied ginger, this dessert is very special. Enjoy a bottomless cup of Community Coffee, or your own personal pot of hot tea as well as a selection from our truly amazing after-dinner drink selections.
