Educational     Tasting (walk around)     Wine

ZachysDC is pleased to present the second installment in legendary tastings with a deeper exploration of the 2015 and 2016 vintages. Beautifully crafted bottlings will allow guests the opportunity to taste 12 expressions of these two historic vintages. During the evening, we will also delve into the 2018 En Primeur season and how to take advantage of the benefits of early access to what is being known as the next in the trilogy of landmark vintages. Highlights of the evening will be both the 2015 Chateau Lynch Bages and 2015 Chateau Pichon Baron poured from Magnums!

The 2015 vintage in Bordeaux began the trilogy of great vintages. Ripe and expressive, these wines will be tasted side by side with the structured 2016 vintage that is newly released. While 2016 brought the roundness and luscious side of Bordeaux, we see 2016 showing itself with power and structure. Throughout the evening, the discussion while tasting will move into the 2018 vintage – a true combination of 2015 and 2016 in regard to style.

This monumental evening will be held at ZachysDC private space in Washington DC. The tasting will provide a memorable night of wine and conversation. Guests will experience each of these 12 gems while having access to the best pricing in the country – a small part of what makes Zachys a unique retailer for over 75 years.

Note – Light Snacks will be served.
