August Summer Social at Jo Jo's by Dave Williams
It’s my fault and you can blame me! Now let me explain. The plan was to have a budget sensitive, social event with light food and some wines to relax this summer. But after eating at his restaurant and speaking with Frank Randazzo and his son Francesco, the owners of Jo Jo’s on 22, and experiencing his infectious enthusiasm and passion to be more than a pizza shop the foodie in me got the best of me. Frank wanted to showcase his restaurant to new people, particularly those who appreciate food and wine. So we went a bit beyond budget sensitive, BUT we have a great value and an opportunity for a lovely evening at a restaurant I am guessing most of you have not dined at. It is a place most of you will return to dine at a later date. I know I will. The quality of food was superb.
We composed a multi-course small plate experience which will be accompanied with a complimentary assortment of Italian wines.
Appetizers: Cheese, Prosciutto, Olives, Burrata, Bread
Salad: Greens with Balsamic vinaigrette with enhancements
Pasta: Penne Jo Jo’s (Jo Jo’s own vodka sauce with meat and mushrooms)
Protein: Chicken Marsala, Salmon with lemon sauce.
Sweet: Mini Cannoli
Foods will be served buffet style to enable you to graze at your own pace. Wines will be poured in concert with the course you are experiencing. Tables will be available to sit, eat, chat and mingle with friends. Jo Jo’s has a lovely outdoor patio with outdoor seating we can enjoy as well, weather permitting.
