Bastille Day and 25th Anniversary Celebration at Left Bank Brasserie Larkspur

At Left Bank Brasserie in Larkspur, from Monday, July 8 through Sunday, July 14, the spirit of Bastille Day dovetailed with the venue’s 25th anniversary, will be most apparent with the addition of a $45.00 Plats de la Révolution three-course prix fixe menu with an optional wine pairing served for lunch and dinner, plus a selection of specialty cocktails. All weekend there will 1994 throwback pricing on oysters on the half shell and glasses of Taittinger, festive blue, blanc and rouge décor with complementing staff ensembles, Revolution-inspired menu specials and festive French cocktail offerings. On Saturday July 13 there will be live music (an accordion and bass duo), surprise guest appearances by Marie Antoinette and friends, Champagne sabering and a 25th year anniversary toast, and ice sculptures. On Sunday July 14 there will be live music (a gypsy jazz guitar duo), a face painter, a balloon artist, a stilt walker and a magician.

The prix fixe will include Onion Soupe Gratinée with baguette and Emmenthal cheese or Heirloom Tomato Bisque with basil oil; Bouillabaisse, a traditional Provençal seafood dish with Pacific True cod, mussels, shrimp, saffron tomato broth, grilled baguette and rouillle sauce or Coq au Vin, marinated red wine braised chicken with lardons, button mushrooms, pearl onions and egg noodles or Risotto d’Ete, roasted corn, heirloom tomatoes and summer vegetables; and Petits Fours, Chef’s selection of dessert bites. The spirited libations will be a Champs-Elysées Sidecar/$14.00 with Remy 1738, Cointreau and lemon; La Fête Nationale/$18.00 with Hardy VS Cognac, St. Germain, lime, mixed berry compote and orange bitters; and La Liberté/$14.00 with Lillet Blanc, Citadelle Gin and Regan’s bitters.

All regular menu items will also be served throughout the celebration and prices exclude tax and gratuity. Vive la France! Vive la révolution!
