Cambodia, Vietnam, and Cruising the Mekong: A Cultural Journey, An Indelible Experience

February 2021 (Check Back for Dates and Pricing)

The mighty Mekong River winds its way through two small countries with very big histories. Immerse yourself in the wonders of Angkor Wat at sunset with a local Khmer guide, help provide a better life for locals in Siem Reap, visit the Royal Palace of Phnom Penh, cruise for three nights on a luxury ship on the Mekong, and explore the colonial heritage of old Saigon and the modernity of Ho Chi Minh City.

Highlights of Siem Reap & Angkor Wat (4 Nights)

Spend your first four nights in the luxurious accommodations of The Belmond La Residence D’Angkor, a Khmer hideaway near fabled Angkor Wat. You will be launched into an otherworldly adventure at this leafy retreat, where ancient tradition meets contemporary style. The Belmond will be a perfect welcome home as you spend time touring Cambodia’s riverside city, Siem Reap. Although best known as the departure point for exploring UNESCO World Heritage site Angkor Wat, Siem Reap has many must-see sites, such as Wat Damnak and the old market. Your days will be awe-filled as you visit Angkor Thom, Ta Prohm, Ta Keo, and the twin temples of Chau Say Tevoda and Thommanon. Your adventures will also include a visit to the stilt village of Tonle Sap and Tonle Sap Lake and an evening Tuk tour to indulge in Khmer food delights via the preferred form of transport.

Highlights of Phnom Penh (1 Night)

After a brief domestic flight from Siem Reap, you will touch down in Phnom Penh to begin your exploration of Cambodia’s busy capital. Phnom Penh was once known as the “Pearl of Asia,” one of the loveliest French-built cities in Indochina, which boasts a rich blend of Khmer and colonial architecture. Prepare to explore the hillside Wat Phnom with its big trees and mischievous monkeys and the Royal Palace and Silver Pagoda, two of the most striking buildings in the capital and considered as some of the finest examples of Khmer architecture. You will be calling the Rosewood Phnom Penh your home for the night. Soaring 188 meters above Phnom Penh’s business district, Rosewood Phnom Penh occupies he top 14 floors of Vattanac Capital Tower, the city’s iconic modern structure and a symbol of the new Cambodia.

Highlights of the Jahan River Cruise (3 Nights)

Departing from Phnom Penh, float along the slow, swirling waters of the Mekong aboard The Jahan, Heritage Line’s most romantic cruise liner. When you aren’t relaxing in your luxurious cabin, you can meet friends in the atmospheric East India Club; soak in the Jacuzzi on the Pool Deck; challenge a new friend to a game of chess in the Observatory Lounge; or enjoy a pampering massage in the Apsara Spa. Indelible land experiences have been curated for your enjoyment, including riding Xelois around Tan Chau, boating to the Floating Fish Farm, and immersing yourself in the culture of Binh Thanh and Cai Be, among others. On this four-day, three-night cruise, you will discover the bygone elegance of travel aboard the majestic Jahan.

Highlights of Ho Chi Minh City / Saigon (4 Nights)

Park Hyatt Saigon will have the pleasure of hosting you for your final four nights in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. At the Park Hyatt, you will discover a luxurious, urban oasis that will be much appreciated when you return from experiences such as your curated architectural and history tours out in the hustle and bustle of this vibrant city. You will indulge your sense of taste throughout your stay with such experiences as an evening tour of Saigon Street Eats and the famous brunch at the hotel, among many other delights throughout your stay in one of Southeast Asia’s culinary epicenters.
