LOCATION & PHONE
Wine Vault & Bistro is located in the heart of San Diego between Little Italy and Old Town at 3731-A India Street on the upstairs terrace. Follow the black handrail up the stairs from the sidewalk to our front door. Our phone number is (619) 295-3939.

PARKING ~ FREE & PAID
Valet parking is available for $8.00. The drop-off point is two doors south of our entrance in front of Shakespeare at the corner of India and Winder. On-street parking is also usually available within a 3-block radius. Remember that it’s OK to park in yellow commercial zones after 6:00 and that meters are also free after 6:00. You can also park in the lot behind Shakespeare Pub two doors down, but do not park in El Indio's lot unless you want your car towed! If you can’t find parking next to the restaurant, there’s always lots of parking on San Diego Avenue and the adjacent side streets just past the Chevron station across Washington Street. So please don't drive yourself crazy endlessly going around in circles waiting to pounce on that perfect spot when there's tons of parking less than three blocks away!

WINE NOTES & BOTTLE PRICES
2018 Bokisch Rosado ~ $15
(Lodi) Winemaker's Notes: This is the second vintage of the Garnacha and Tempranillo Rosado and this wine is a fan favorite. A complex and beautifully balanced Rose, this wine sparkles with colors of salmon, rose gold, and pale ruby. A bouquet of rose petal, nectarine, and strawberry cream lead into secondary of aromas of misted concrete and earth. The Rosado has intense tropical flavors of kiwi, nectarine and under-ripe strawberry. This wine has a long, zippy, and weighty finish that leaves you wanting more.

2016 Ridge "Paso Robles" Zinfandel ~ $32
(Paso Robles) Winemaker's Notes: 100% Zinfandel. Deep garnet color. Black cherry fruit aromas and scented barrel spice. Rich bramble fruit on entry, medium body, integrated tannins and lively acidity, a long, opulent finish. 92 points from Wine Spectator.

2015 Melville "Estate" Chardonnay ~ $24
(Sta. Rita Hills) Winemaker's Notes: Delicate brass in color, with fruit driven aromatics of grilled pineapple, lemon zest, white peach and orange blossom springing from the glass. On the palate, notes of honey, fresh ginger and tarragon mingle with weightier impressions of sourdough bread, salted caramel and agave nectar. The wine boasts a rich and polished mouthfeel with a generous streak of acidity that anchors a chiseled and precise finish. 90 points, Wine Enthusiast.

2017 Croix "Narrow Gauge" Chardonnay ~ $33
2016 Notes: (Russian River Valley) Winemaker's Notes: A fuller, yet bright and refreshing style of Chardonnay, this wine has a golden straw presence in the glass with a bouquet of raw honey, marmalade, fresh citrus zest, toasted pine nuts, rocky flints, all spice, toasted oak and lusciousness on the nose that is ever so inviting. Island ripe pineapple, apple, stone fruit, and crisp pear leave the mouth watering in a cascade of pleasure. The balance of crisp, fresh and savory draws you in for another taste. Anticipated maturity window: 2018 to 2021.

2017 Paul Hobbs "Felino" Malbec ~ $18
(Argentina) Winemaker's Notes: Violet red with black tones. An attractive nose with aromas of fresh black fruits and prunes. The palate displays good concentration and balance, with sweet yet supple tannins.

2016 Grattamacco "Bolgheri" Rosso ~ $29
(Italy) This blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot and Sangiovese opens with aromas of black currant, Mediterranean scrub and cedar. The juicy palate offers dried black cherry, mocha and black pepper alongside fine-grained tannins.

Cuarenta y Tres "Licor 43" Spanish Vanilla Liqueur
(Spain) Warm, complex nose of upfront vanilla followed by tangy sweet fruit, spices and dark rum. The palate is similar to the aroma with complex intermingling flavors of vanilla, spices, orange and cinnamon. Ends with a flavor similar to fine aged rum only sweeter. 62 proof.

Chateau Monet Liqueur Framboise ~ $24
(USA) An exquisite liqueur made from black raspberries and carefully blended with a still-secret combination of flavors. Delicious by itself or paired with chocolate (or chocolate and berry) desserts ... or add an ounce to a flute of Champagne to make a delicious Kir Royale ... or pour over vanilla ice cream for a quick dessert ... or use in place of syrup to create an "adult" waffle ... or pour over ice and add soda water to make a refreshing berry spritzer. 16.5% alcohol.

2014 Margerum "Late Harvest" Sauvignon Blanc ~ $24
(Santa Barbara County) Winemaker's Notes: Nose of juicy fruit, honey and ripe melon. Pleasantly sweet yet not cloying attack of more ripe fruit nicely balanced with rich Meyer lemon acidity in the evolution and long finish. Will age gracefully through 2020 developing nectar-like aromatics and becoming richer and even more honeyed. A well balanced dessert wine that pairs well with fruit salad, custardy desserts like crème brûlée, or salty cheeses.
