Palm House in San Francisco Hosts a 5th Anniversary Luau on June 2

Palm House in San Francisco will host a 5th anniversary luau on Sunday, June 2 from noon to 4:00 p.m. With an RSVP, there will be no charge for admission and the festivities coincide with the Union Street Music Festival. Available for sale from the restaurant’s Tiki Bar on the patio will be signature offerings such as mai tais, piña coladas and punch bowls, plus tropical fare will be curated by Executive Chef Lee Levig who will be smoking a kalua pig for 12 hours to be paired with an over the top poke bar. There will also be a $30.00 Luau Feast Menu with mouthwatering fare, a tropical cocktail and priority entry to Palm House. The Pan Extasy Caribbean band will be performing classic sounds of the islands complete with a steel drum, guitar, and string bass. RSVPs are requested and can be made via https://www.eventbrite.com/e/palm-house-5-year-anniversary-luau-tickets-61906541131?aff.

The full Luau Feast will include main dishes of Roasted Kalua Pig, Shoyu Chicken marinated in soy sauce and smoked, Galbi Beef Short Ribs, and Lau Lau Pork and fish balls steamed in banana leaves. The side dishes will be Avocado & Ahi Tuna Poke with shoyu ahi tuna poke and octopus poke, Lomi Lomi Salmon, salmon marinated with onion and tomato, Lomi Lomi Tomato Uur, a vegetarian play on the salmon, marinated with sesame seeds and Thai chilies, Fried Rice, Steamed Rice, Sweet Potato Taro Rolls, Hawaiian Rolls, and Macaroni Salad.

On an ongoing basis, Palm House's California-tropic food menu draws its inspiration from the flavors of the Americas spice trail as reflected by the cuisines of Cuba, Hawaii, Brazil and the Caribbean. The restaurant's acclaimed drink menu includes classic and contemporary cocktails and their signature slushy.

The engaging and playful Palm House decor mixes rich mahogany with soft tropical tones and quirky touches such as a display of LED-lit vintage birdcages hung from the 35-foot ceiling. A collection of Caribbean plants also evokes the tropics. The restaurant has 130 seats including at the bar and on the patio. Its private dining space, called Captain's Quarters, can accommodate 12 guests.

Palm House is located at 2032 Union Street, near Buchanan Street, in San Francisco, California, and is open Monday through Thursday 11:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m., Friday and Saturday 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 a.m., and Sunday 10:30 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. For more information visit www.palmhousesf.com and follow them on Facebook and Instagram.
