Celebrate the region’s wines, spirits, brews and food along the downtown waterfront this summer at the Gig Harbor Wine & Food Experience on Saturday, July 27. Participants will have a variety of experiences to choose from all day long, including wine and food related classes and demos, the Waterfront Block Party tasting event, and an exclusive dinner experience at Brix 25 featuring the culinary magic of Chef Thad Lyman. Ticket quantities for classes, demos and the exclusive dinner are limited so don’t delay. Early Bird ticket pricing to the Waterfront Block Party saves $15 off the day of event price and is available through June 16 while supplies last.
Start your day off by choosing from an entertaining and informative selection of classes and demos, just $10/ticket, being offered by downtown waterfront businesses. Explore the great variety of Salumi and pairing it with great wines at the Wine & Swine class held at Morso. Learn how to make Wood Fired Pizza and the process of creating that just right pizza dough at Millville Pizza. At the “Hair of the Dog” class, sit around the bar at Brimstone PNW Smokehouse learning how to craft the perfect morning cocktail that can ease the pain that comes from consuming one too many! Enjoy watching the experts at Heritage Distilling create Whiskey and Vodka Cocktails. Expand your Beer Knowledge in 7 Seas Brewing's All About Hops class. In the afternoon, experience the fun-filled Waterfront Block Party throughout Gig Harbor’s beautiful downtown! Enjoy walking the harbor while tasting some of the region's best wines, brews and spirits! Many stops will feature samples of savory small food bites, tasty cheeses or tempting desserts. Some stops will feature live music while you taste! Check in begins just prior to 12:30 at the 7 Seas Brewing Event Space, with tasting continuing until 5pm. A wine store will be open at the check-in location until 6pm. Complimentary shuttle service will be available to get around to the 25 party stops! The Block Party takes our popular Sip & Stroll event to the next level with most wineries sampling three wines. There are also more brews, more party stops and entertainment.
Still wanting more after a day at the Wine & Food Experience? Experience the exclusive Brix 25 Vintner Dinner. Not familiar with Brix 25? Enjoy Chef Thad Lyman's culinary creations as he presents a multi-course menu of Northwest cuisine paired with a variety of wines presented at the festival.
