The Fort Lauderdale Home Design and Remodeling Show in collaboration with Sun Sentinel present: A Taste-Full Experience where guests can learn food and wine pairings from the pros. Join Chef Tara Abrams, Executive Chef of Crazy Uncle Mike’s and Wine Educator Stefano Campanini of Wine by the Bay for an educational demonstration focused on what wines to pair with an eclectic fusion of flavors and textures.

About Our Presenters
Chef Tara Abrams has been a respected member of South Florida’s culinary community since 1997. Much like her cooking, Tara started from scratch, training in some of South Florida’s most touted kitchens including 32 East, Tap 42, OTC Brickell and multiple JEY Hospitality Group restaurants. During her four year tenure with JEY Hospitality, Tara’s expertise and knowledge were applied towards menu design, execution and opening several new restaurant concepts. Tara thrives under pressure, and has won several culinary competitions including the South Beach Wine & Food Festival’s Midnight Munchies (2014), Thrillist BBQ Bash (2015), and the Bacon Bash (2016).
Hailing from Long Island, New York, Tara’s culinary inspiration came from watching her mom cook. Together, they loved to create dishes for their friends and family, gathering everyone around the table in their home. Tara has always abided by her personal mantra, which is “to always use the best quality ingredients and put love into each stir.” At Crazy Uncle Mike’s, Tara will focus on an array of fresh, globally inspired and locally sourced seasonal dishes.

Stefano Campanini is an explorer and adventurist. Knowledge comes from taking the backroad, whether it’s sailing solo from Connecticut to South America, riding the Alaskan Highway on motorcycle, or running a 15K through the Argonne Forest. Stefano’s discerning palate was cultivated in his birthplace, Parma, Emilia Romagna named by Forbes: “Italy’s Greatest Gastronomic Treasure.” His dream of sharing pleasure at the table began in 2012, when he opened Wine by the Bay. Since then, Stefano has quickly become recognized as one of South Florida’s leading Champagne and boutique wine experts. “Wine is an education and not just a drink,” he’ll say while handcrafting a ‘tale of wine cities’ to both novices and aficionados alike.
