The Wine Families of Australia.
The wine industry of Australia has seen a transformation as conglomerate wine producers with massive vineyard holdings have given way to generational wine families who have worked for decades producing excellent wines.
In this session, we will explore the wines of Western Australia, McLaren Vale, Victoria, and the Barossa Valley. What are the unique features of landscape and climate behind these unique vinicultural areas and the wine styles that have emerged to redefine the modern Australian wine industry?
Session includes hors d' oeuvres (a sampling of Australia style barbeque).
Reservation required (no walk-ins).
6:00 - 8:30 pm, Wine Studies Lab, 1st Floor
