Ginworld, a company dedicated to introduce, educate and expand the breadth of exposure of gin, has chosen Phoenix as the home of its 5th Annual Gin Week with the launch of Gin Week Phoenix, taking place April 22 through April 28. Ginworld Phoenix’s Gin Week kicks off with the “Campari Loves Gin” Competition on Monday, April 22 and culminates with the Gin Festival at Unexpected Art Galley on Sunday, April 28.
The “Campari Loves Gin” Competition will be held at Bitters Bar, located at 1455 North Scottsdale Road in Scottsdale, on Monday, April 22 at 6:00 p.m. The contest is open to all Arizona residents ages 21 and over, and bartenders must be actively working in a bar/restaurant in the Phoenix metro area.
Throughout Gin Week (April 22-April 28) various gin-centric educational presentations and tasting events are scheduled to take place at multiple bars and restaurants around the Valley including Gin Week cocktail specials at participating venues including:
Bitters Bar
Monroe Bar
Blue Clover Distillery
Unexpected Art Gallery
Unexpected Art Galley, located at 734 West Polk Street in Phoenix, is also the location for the Gin Week Festival, which takes place Sunday, April 28 from noon to 4:00 p.m. Activities include educational seminars, meet and greets with distillers, tastings, and hands-on seminars. More than 100 gins from around the world will be represented and guests can enjoy the Perfect Serve Gin Tonic Bar and the Bloody Mary Bar. Tickets are $55 per person and can be purchased via www.ginworld.com.
