California Chardonnay & Sauvignon Blanc
Saturday, April 20th
Trapp Family Lodge Wine Cellar
California produces considerably more wine than the entire country of Australia.
By far their most widely planted grape is Chardonnay accounting for nearly 100,000 acres of vines.
That’s a lot of juice.
About 21% of all wine consumed in the United States is Chardonnay.
Sauvignon Blanc is the 9th most widely planted grape in the U.S.A. It’s a nice change-up from Chardonnay. It is also one parent of Cabernet Sauvignon the other being Cabernet Franc.
Price is $20. Please call or see the front desk to place reservations. 802 253-5742. Doors open @ 4:00. I suggest you arrive no later than 5:00 to avoid feeling rushed. People come and go during the tasting which is an informal walk around format. We end at 6:00
