Cost: $75.00
Old World winemaking regions produce some of the most famous white wines on the market today-Sancerre, Chablis, German Riesling. This Lab is going to introduce quality wines produced form the lesser-known grapes grown in less famous regions. We will discuss the grapes, where and how they are grown, and what types of wine are produced. During the class students will taste the following wines:
- Falanghina from Campania, Italy
- White Blend (Vermentino, Trebbiano, Moscato) from Tuscany, Italy
- Vinho Verde from Portugal
- Assyrtiko from Greece
- White Blend from the Southern Rhône Valley (Viognier, Marsanne, Picpoul) from Rhône Valley, France
This is an opportunity to experience new grapes and regions, and to get a glimpse of how much variety there is in the world of white wines. The class is suitable for wine lovers and wine students of all levels.
Nicole Ramos WSET Level 3, FWS, will lead the class. Includes small bites.
