Join the Children’s Place Association on Saturday, April 13th at Rockwell on the River for a memorable evening supporting programs that help Chicago’s most vulnerable children. This year’s spring gala “Once Upon A Time….At the Derby” will have Susan Carlson of NBC 5 and Marley Kayden of WGN-TV emcee the annual black tie event.
The Gala Co-Chairs Melissa Recatto and Lauren Silverman will lead more than 350 supporters dressed in their derby best in some serious fundraising fun, with mint juleps, custom cocktails and sumptuous dinner. The evening will also feature a program on the critical work Children’s Place Association does to address issues that impact children in impoverished Chicago communities, including the trauma of neighborhood violence. A highlight of the evening will be the presentation of the 2019 Chicago Champion for Children Award to Takeda Pharmaceuticals for their unwavering commitment to building a brighter future for kids.
