Wednesday, March 27th, Altura will host winemaker Nate Ready of Smockshop Band and Hiyu Wine Farm for his first ever wine dinner in Seattle.
Nate has hand-picked a selection of newly released wines he'd like to share, and Chef Nathan Lockwood has created a corresponding dish for each wine.
Nate Ready and China Tresemer founded Hiyu Wine Farm in 2015, which consists of 30 acres near the summit of Mt. Hood. It is both their home and most focused area of production. Guided by nature, permaculture and biodynamic philosophies, they tend vines, raise animals, garden, cook and create wines that truly express the farm's terroir.
The evening will begin at 6:00 p.m. for an informal gathering period, wine and stuzzichini (small bites) abound. Then guests will sit down for a five course meal, during which Nate will discuss his uniquely dedicated approach to natural wine-making.
Guests will be able to purchase wines on site from an exclusive collection unavailable to the general public.
Ticket price includes all food and wine pairings.
