Valet parking is available for $8.00. The drop-off point is two doors south of our entrance in front of Shakespeare at the corner of India and Winder. On-street parking is also usually available within a 3-block radius. Remember that it’s OK to park in yellow commercial zones after 6:00 and that meters are also free after 6:00. You can also park in the lot behind Shakespeare Pub two doors down, but do not park in El Indio's lot unless you want your car towed! If you can’t find parking next to the restaurant, there’s always lots of parking on San Diego Avenue and the adjacent side streets just past the Chevron station across Washington Street. So please don't drive yourself crazy endlessly going around in circles waiting to pounce on that perfect spot when there's tons of parking less than three blocks away!

WINE NOTES & BOTTLE PRICES
2016 Catena "Tupungato" Chardonnay ~ $17
(Argentina) Winemaker's Notes: This wine has the unique expression of cool and high altitude vineyard sites. Tupungato vineyards lend citrus notes with a crisp finish and a rich unctuous mouthfeel. The wine has a beautiful pear and citrus flavors with crisp fresh minerality. The wine is a delicate greenish color with light yellow notes. The aroma is of fresh white peaches and pineapples and jasmine and magnolia. The mouthfeel is tangible and rich yet clean and fresh on the finish.

2017 ColleMassari "Melacce" Vermentino ~ $17
(Italy) Winemaker's Notes: Very clean with a fruity-fresh first sip. Aromas of Granny Smith apple, white peach and sweet limes, as well as a hint of exotic fruits, are. Crisp and dry on the palate with fantastic minerality.

2017 Tournon "Mathilda" Shiraz ~ $16
(Australia) Michel Chapoutier established Tournon in 2007 shortly after purchasing 50 hectares of property in the heart of the Victorian Pyrenees and Heathcote. He recognized that the cool weather patterns and remarkable diversity of soil and exposures in this region would allow him to make distinctive wines from the Syrah/Shiraz grape of his homeland utilizing his biodynamic winegrowing philosophy. Named after the Hermitage commune, Tournon leads the movement in Australia towards elegant, balanced wines. This Shiraz shows a brilliant, dark ruby appearance with intense aromas of ripe black fruits and peppers. The palate is fresh and juicy with silky and elegant tannins. This rich classic varietal pairs beautifully with brisket, stews, roast lamb, BBQ and mushroom dishes.

2016 Catena "San Carlos" Cabernet Franc ~ $20
(Argentina) Winemaker's Notes: 100% Cabernet Franc. This wine is a purple color with red ruby tones. The nose offers elegant aromas of spices, and fresh herbs as thyme and rosemary, red berries, cassis and raspberries, with layers of cedar. The mouthfeel is full and rich with cassis, raspberries flavors and notes of black pepper and oregano. The finish is bright and fresh with finely grained tannins.

2016 Croix "Narrow Gauge" Chardonnay ~ $33
(Russian River Valley) Winemaker's Notes: A fuller, yet bright and refreshing style of Chardonnay, this wine has a golden straw presence in the glass with a bouquet of raw honey, marmalade, fresh citrus zest, toasted pine nuts, rocky flints, all spice, toasted oak and lusciousness on the nose that is ever so inviting. Island ripe pineapple, apple, stone fruit, and crisp pear leave the mouth watering in a cascade of pleasure. The balance of crisp, fresh and savory draws you in for another taste. Anticipated maturity window: 2018 to 2021.

2015 Cass "Vintage Ted" Red Blend ~ $42
(Paso Robles) Winemaker's Notes: An original, hand crafted blend featuring select barrels of Cabernet Sauvignon (70%), Mourvèdre (25%) and Petit Verdot (5%). Vintage Ted welcomes you with intoxicating aromas of mulberry, black cherry, cigar box, and cassis liquor. Elements of pipe tobacco, wild raspberry and dusted violet play well with essence of plum compote and smoked vanilla. Savory cocoa and fresh milled coffee give way to a lasting, memorable finish. 400 cases produced.

2014 Margerum "Late Harvest" Sauvignon Blanc ~ $24
(Santa Barbara County) Winemaker's Notes: Nose of juicy fruit, honey and ripe melon. Pleasantly sweet yet not cloying attack of more ripe fruit nicely balanced with rich Meyer lemon acidity in the evolution and long finish. Will age gracefully through 2020 developing nectar-like aromatics and becoming richer and even more honeyed. A well balanced dessert wine that pairs well with fruit salad, custardy desserts like crème brûlée, or salty cheeses.

NV Yalumba Antique Tawny (375ml) ~ $19
(Australia) Winemaker's Notes: This outstanding old dessert wine is deep tawny in color, with an aroma featuring dried fruits, caramel and spices with elegant brandy spirit and hints of wood aged rancio. The palate is richly flavored featuring chocolate and caramel with fine spirit characters and persistent aftertaste of dried fruits and nutty nuances. The texture is sweet and smooth with roundness from the wood maturation and brandy spirit filling out the middle palate and providing the firm, drying finish.

NV Williams & Humbert Canasta Cream Sherry ~ $22
(Spain) Winemaker's Notes: Figs and raisins, with nice hints of dark chocolate and vanilla. Hints of Gianduja, walnut cake, and slight peppery notes of a dry Oloroso, with a faint smoky note. Smooth and attractive, good start. The attack feels soft, picking up strength over time. Caramel sweets with nice crème brûlée notes. Hazelnuts again. Fades on Turkish coffee with a dark cocoa bitter touch. It does not feel sticky or overwhelmingly sweet – at its core you feel a good Oloroso.
