The wines of Marchand-Tawse straddle the line between tradition and innovation and will have you second-guessing what you know about Burgundy. Marchand-Tawse began humbly as one of the rare micro-negociant houses by Quebecois Pascal Marchand and his business partner, Canadian Moray Tawse, and now the partnerships consists of two domaines with their own premier and grand cru vineyard holdings, including the prestigious Domaine Maume. Known for their non-dogmatic—but uber-organic—vineyard practices, long fermentations on native yeasts, and their pure, fresh and aromatic bottlings, they represent a new fusion style of wines that’s revolutionizing the region.
