Azureau and Sommelier Sam are most honored to welcome Sofia Barbanera, Principal of the 2018 Winery of Year in Luca Maroni’s benchmark Italian wine guide. Founded in 1938 by Altero Barbanera and his wife Maria in the small village of Piazze, Barbanera has grown into one of Tuscany’s leading estates.
Sofia, a third generation Barbanera family owner, will guide our guests through a four course tasting of her wines from Tuscany and Puglia each expertly paired with traditional Italian delicacies at Oretta Ristorante. The selections will feature seven of Barbanera’s 98 and 99 point rated wines.
