Our Valentine’s Day special tasting will take you on tour throughout Europe and South America, tasting wines made with passion by small, local producers! Salud!
Wines:
1.Virgile Costieres de Nimes Blanc, France $12.99
The Roussanne, with peach and apricot flavors, gives the wine weight, texture, and body. Next, the Marsanne adds lively acidity, a hint of minerality, and citrus fruit flavors. Finally, the Viognier adds tropical fruit flavors to the wine, as well as beautiful, floral aromatics.
2. Condesa Albarino, Spain $18.99
The vineyards, planted in sandy and granitic soils, are located in the Valle do Salnés. A very structured wine, with a great volume in mouth that shows the character of this grape, mythical in Galicia, in all the stages of the tasting process.
3. Marotti Campi Rubico Lacrima di Morro , Italy $14.99- Silvia’s Favorite!
On the nose it is unmistakably Italian with its aromas of wild roses, violets, little dark berries and forest floor. The palate is highly distinctive and very dry, with a fresh, velvety but also tannic persistence. Bring out the red meat, the more rustic the better!
4. Areyna Malbec, Argentina $14.99
Aromas of raspberries and ripe red fruits. The mouth feel shows good concentration and structure, with a soft texture and sweet, round tannins. The wine has a long, lingering finish with fresh, lively acidity.
5. Apaltagua Granate Demi-Sec, Chile $15.99- The Wildcard!
The wine is aromatic with obvious hints of pomegranate and notes of red fruits like strawberries and raspberries.
Wines will be accompanied by a selection of cheeses, crackers, artisanal breads &olive oil. The cost for one flight (a sample of each of the wines) will be $12.
