Brian will walk us through tasting 8 different wines while educating us on some interesting things about wine.

Brian Vitek is a locally raised winemaker who cut his teeth winemaking in the early 90’s as a volunteer and ‘cellar rat’ at a small winery. Over time, Brian developed a passion and his own style of winemaking, which led him to open one of the first urban wineries in San Diego County (1999). This winery grew into a few wineries and became an immediate incubator for over 10+ wineries in San Diego and Paso Robles. Over the last 20 years, Brian has been involved in and produced over 125,000 gallons of wine or three quarters of a million bottles. From the vineyard to the glass, his philosophy on wine is let it tell you what it wants to be, and the true winemaker doesn’t alter wine they cheerlead and make sure it’s nurtured, cultivated and developed to its fullest potential which really takes place from bud break to harvest.
Currently Brian is the Consulting winemaker for multiple wineries in San Diego and Paso Robles and continues to produce and award winning wines along with judging wine events and educating events.
