Israel- a country that’s rich in wine history, yet its wines remain largely misunderstood and underappreciated by the U.S. market. Stop by, taste a few of our favorites and find out why you should be paying more attention to Israeli wine.
Wines:
1.Gilgal Chardonnay 2016 $21.99
A nose of grapefruit and lemon with a hint of thyme sets the stage for flavors of lemon-lime, pineapple, vanilla and white flowers. This wine is bright from first sip until lingering citrus finish.
2. Mount Hermon White 2016 $14.99- The Wildcard!
A well-balanced white wine, the pleasing Yarden Mount Hermon White shows great energy on the palate. The wine's ripe apple flavors, smooth textures, and bright finish make it a versatile food-pairing wine.
3. Gilgal Cabernet Sauvignon/Merlot 2014 $19.99
The Gilgal Cabernet-Merlot presents pleasing raspberry and cherry fruit notes, along with attractive characters of spice, tobacco and orange blossoms.
4. Mount Hermon Indigo 2016 $14.99
The Mount Hermon Indigo opens with aromatic ripe plum and berry notes rounded out with hints of spice and cocoa. This medium-bodied wine is pleasingly flavorful and very drinkable.
5.Dalton Cabernet Sauvignon 2017 $30.99
This wine has a nose of raspberry and fennel bulb. It offers pomegranate, cherry, orange zest, juniper and licorice flavors.
Wines will be accompanied by a selection of cheeses, crackers, artisanal breads &olive oil. The cost for one flight (a sample of each of the wines) will be $15.
