Chicago-born vocalist Jay Goeppner stops with band Backdated at 210 Live between shows at Chicago's Beatles Fest and the Liverpool Beetleweek. After Lennon’s tragic death, Jay started singing again in 1981, encouraged by Harry Nilsson. He has sung at Beatle festivals all over the world. A 60's band, Backdated has put together a mix of Lennon and 60's Rock to present in loving tribute to John.
Jay Goeppner--always fresh and energetic--has been performing locally and worldwide for over 35 years. Every performance is exciting and full of musical surprises and showmanship. Jay is a world class Beatle and Classic Rock performer (his John Lennon Tribute Shows are world renowned) who brings his vast energy and entertainment experience to every show. He has performed with rock legends Roger Daltry, Peter Frampton, Cheap Trick, The Moody Blues, Yes, Joe Walsh, and many others. 2018 will mark Jay’s 10th appearance at BeatleWeek in Liverpool, England!
Jay's current projects include The Jay Goeppner Band, an all original material project, and top Chicagoland classic rock band BACKDATED. Both bands deliver entertaining and memorable performances that will capture the attention of any crowd. From finely crafted ear-pleasing original music to fun recognizable classic rock hits from The Beatles, The Stones, ELO, The Who, KINKS, Motown, and many more, Jay forms an all-encompassing repertoire and show with plenty of dance music. This guy covers it all! Veterans of the stage, his bands will faithfully reproduce all your favorite songs and will take you back to when you first heard the classics.
